Hass
The Hass is the most common variety of avocado and is creamy in both texture and taste. The Hass is identified by its oval shape and its pebbly, textured skin, which changes in colour as it ripens.
Availability: January - February , May - December

Sheppard
The Sheppard Avocado is more elongated in shape than the Hass and has a glossy skin which remains green, even when ripe. The Sheppard has a nutty flavour and buttery texture.
